I don’t think of myself as a tweep, but omg –
– was this ever a week to be watching Twitter. A tweet just came from the film set — solicited by Frenz — promising a picture of Richard Armitage.
ETA: This was also tweeted just now. Nothing new, but someone else knows it’s his birthday.
ETA 2: I just looked at it and that photo just above was RTed by Todd Garner. Is that the photo we’re getting, Mr. Garner?

Looks like RA has been told of the mass bday greetings. Very exciting.
Hope he sees how happy this kind of thing makes fans
A few days ago TG also tweeted that an offical photo is coming in response to my tweet begging for a pic, so maybe he means that. Now that they have a title for this movie, it seems quite likely that a pic will follow.
Thanks for your entreaty — that was really nice of you. I hope that it’s it. I confess i feel a bit bait and switched at the moment, but that’s the internet, period
The endorphins of love and well wishes to Richard Armitage for his birthday today are sweeping around his fandom!
yeah, peace on earth, etc.
Oh, I love Twitter! It was THE place to be on Armitage Day, inbetween checking out B-Day posts, believe me! We were all going nuts there, celebrating the Birthday of our Precious
If someone hasn’t ventured out there yet, I urge you to. It’s not hard to set up at all, and it’s fast becoming the place to get freshest info, not to mention the perfect setting to chat with fellow RA admirers. Because of time zones, there’s always someone there to have a good old-fashioned chin wag with!
When I got my new phone I set up an account. I gave up on it after a week because I seemed to be attracting followers, the equivalent of spam, who hadn’t asked, and I could hardly keep up with the tweets coming in. I may rethink my decision, but in the meantime, we non-tweeps can rely on here and other blogs to keep us up-to-date. Thanks serv!
I hope Richard felt the love coming his way.
I’m so sorry Mezz! I would suggest you contact RAFrenzy, as she’s speaks Twitterese like no one else
There are ways of blocking unwanted tweets. I know you can easily block an account, but from what I gather you can also block phrases.
My general rule of thumb is only follow people I know, and unfollow those who take liberties, like spaming the timeline with “please follow so and so’. It’s fine from time to time, but I had a situaltion where 70% of my timeline was just that, and I had to pull the plug.
I really hope you give Twitter another go, despite having such a horrid experience first time around
Thanks agzy. I will give it another try in the near future. I’m only interested in following the bloggers I enjoy, fellow fans, and those that become relevant to RA such as Todd Garner, but it was the ones following me when I hadn’t so much as chirped that took me by surprise!
I can imagine it was unpleasant! I use twitter for exactly that purpose, plus meeting new RA fans, which I had the pleasure of doing yesterday. No one in my RL even knows I’m on Twitter. It’s just for my RA life
yeah, it’s amazing how many people you meet that way — and younger fans, usually. Twitter is now a major referrer for my blog — and I only started tweeting about a year ago or a little more.
