Nice news

Richard Armitage Online reports this morning that Strike Back has been sold for broadcast in Canada and Australia. One really hopes these sales bode well for the renewal of the series for a second season. It’s not that I am so attached to this role for him. Though OMG does he make John Porter into sex on wheels. But he’s said he’d like to do another series, and I do so want him to stay employed and in front of our faces and those of future employers until a great role comes along.

  1. Thank you for that bit of news! Sorry there’s no info on whether a U.S. network is picking it up. Fingers crossed for them. Some Canadian fans here will be happy. (And so will Skully be!)

  2. I kind of doubt that a US broadcaster will pick this up, but maybe I am wrong. The six-episode format is odd for US TV, and the anti-Americanism in 5 and 6 won’t sell well, either. PBS, which usually doesn’t mind anti-Americanism in dramas from foreign countries, doesn’t usually buy action/adventure pieces. But I don’t want to jinx it. I could certainly be wrong.

  3. Thanks for this news! I am over the moon about it! 😀

  4. So am I 🙂 … especially as I picked up the news about SB in Oz and fed it to RAOnline…lol.
