The 2nd fanstRAvaganza begins today!
[Edited for link rot, 7/22/15]
Welcome to fanstRAvaganza 2! Get ready for a week of especially intense blogging across the worldwide sisterhood of blogs devoted to your favorite actor and mine, Richard Armitage. You’ll discover new fanfics, polls, quizzes, comments, and interviews and have the chance to win especially attractive giveaways. And of course, the best part — the chance to discover new blogs and new ideas and meet new friends, all the while reveling in the myriad and sublime joys — intellectual, aesthetic, psychological — all ineffable, of Armitageworld!
This event was organized for you and us by Nat and Traxy, whom I want to thank expressly. Every blogger has her own series of posts and timing for them — there’s no set schedule — so keep clicking around the world to see what’s new.

I asked to have first crack at talking about John Porter for this event and I’ve decided to start with an incredible weighty question:
WHICH PORTER TROUSERS DO YOU LIKE BEST?
(If I wrote about the cap, it’s hyperlinked. It surprised me a bit. It was John Porter who really got me interested in Richard Armitage’s rear anatomy.)
1. Uniform slacks, frontal:

2. Suit slacks, from a distance, badly fitting:

4. Boy next door, DIY, or rescue you from terrorist jeans, rear:

5. John Dean the diamond dealer jeans, rear:

6. No jeans, rear:

7. Prisoner wear, cotton, no panty lines?:

8. Weapon dealer cargo pants, from below:

Here’s your ballot. You may choose two answers; each IP address may vote once. Poll remains open until the end of fanstRAvaganza 2, approximately one week from today.
I hope everyone has a great fanstRAvaganza … let the fun begin!
You didn’t! LOL!! No, my eyes are playing tricks on me. LOL!

Fraid so, Frenz. I was sort of curious how this would actually shake out, and couldn’t resist.

Last option: All of the above CHECK!
Yummy…

yeah, but then people wouldn’t be forced to choose. The secret of a good quiz is forcing people to pick …

I have to give it thought–decisions, decisions! So many yummy choices! And I love the no pants option–LOL!!

yeah, and whittled them down a bit for the poll.

I frequently feel that way, to be honest, and I don’t have the excuse of a difference in time zones!! 😉

I voted for number 4. I would have chosen number 6, but my view wasn’t so good. I needed a closer look for a proper judegment. 😀

If I had been filming, the view would have been better 🙂
Thanks for the comment and welcome to the blog, Sarah P.

To wake up to John Porter as the first posting in the FanstRAvaganza, how scrumptious is that! Love the banner, love the quiz! And, of course, being able to vote every day means a different option each day because, let’s face it, John Porter looks good in and out of trousers!
A huge and happy grin as I trot off to work! 🙂

yeah, I wanted to make sure that the Europeans weren’t drooling all day waiting for this to start. Though I guess the Australian bloggers had a jump on me, too.

I didn’t, either 🙂

Well it will be really funny of the nakey bum get 2 votes! LOL!

I like a few things left to the imagination so I went for the cargo pants 🙂

a fine choice, mulubinba!

It was a tossup for me between the cargo pants and the uniform trousers. Both had the added bonus of rolled-up sleeves and bare forearms!

One sort of imagines a whole series of polls coming out of this: did you try to enlarge the naked butt picture; if so, why; if not, why not; if you voted for the naked butt picture, why; if not, why not … each poll illustrated with that cap …. 🙂
LikeLike
Well, I voted for the naked butt, and the reason was the incredible beauty of the whole body, the whole man. 😀 And I am not even embarassed.

What a nice poll! Marvellous idea. Voted. 🙂

It was one of those polls where none of the options were truly bad.

It’s 6 am here – we just put the clocks ahead to Spring Forward this weekend, and we’re “jet-lagged” from having lost that hour. 1-3 hours behind many in N.A., and a day behind others in the RA blogosphere. Speaking of behind(s), have to think seriously about where my vote will go…

the missing hour was hard on me, too — the only salvation was that we have no classes this week. Otherwise I’d ahve been done for.

I voted, in uniform slacks looks very masculine, * thud *
“fanstRAvaganza 2” I like, a beautiful banner, I’m glad that began with John Porter, because there is still almost 2 hours I begin watching the SB on TV (I’m so excited, I already have a plan of action, so: remind my friends that they MUST watch the SB, set up equipment for recording, phone off, turn off the lights, prepare a tea with jam petals of the roses and … RA as a JP
(and the world ceases to exist

Wonderful poll but difficult to chose a favourite. I went for the uniform slacks as they emphasize his hips not to mention other areas (I mean his THIGHS ladies! NOT going anywhere else, truly! Of course I also liked the “run for the helicopter” jeans, the “John Dean” jeans as well as noticing the cotton “no panty lines” prison garb. Did wonder why there were none – in an analytical way of course!!
LikeLike
yes, purely analytical. In practical terms you might think that in a scene like that they’d have the actors wear some sort of (cough) protective gear.

Well, for some reason I didn’t think we could comment on this post, so I wrote Serv privately asking her to do another poll:
Raise your hand if you zoomed in on the nekkid butt one. And don’t lie. You know where you’ll go if you lie.
@Fitzg…I like the way you think. Or don’t think. Either way.
