… that the costumers got the trouser break exactly right. This is exactly how this style of pant is supposed to fit in a movement situation. Giggle. (This almost makes up for the missing umlaut over the “u” in “Kruger”.)
Spent nine hours today watching Harry Potter movies. Had to laugh because now I know who Dawn French and Gemma Jones are (didn’t when I saw these originally). Fifteen hours, including the conclusion at midnight tomorrow!

Yes, indeed — but you can see also how the wide cuff makes his feet look less disproportional than they would otherwise.

Obviously I’ll have to see the slacks in a standing position, but this just really, really floated my boat. This would be a great style for him if it weren’t completely out of the mode at the moment. The cuff and the loose shin both work in his favor — shortening the perceived length of the leg a bit but cutting it off strongly at the ankle and thus evening out the overbalance from his rather massive thighs.
Oh, I am in ecstasy.

I’m with Phylly, I thought of you when I saw these photos–“Hmmm, looks good to me, but I wonder what Servetus thinks?!” 😉
Now I am thinking I want to see him in another period drama, but set in the 1940s-50s. Because he looks really, really yummy in this style of dress.
And RRR,
He does have awfully big feet. And hands. I’ll stop there for now.

Admiring your restraint there Angie!! But agreed! He is really, really yummy!! The feet and hands are all in proportion to the rest of him. And no!! Not in the way some of you are undoubtedly thinking!

“Kruger” instead of “Krüger” drives me mad, just like Diane Kruger who changed her name for Hollywood. The name Heinz Krüger is actually a very good choice because people are really called that, whereas Johann Schmidt is a joke. Not that these days any boys are called Heinz any more but back then it was a popular name.

Oh yeah, I forgot Dawn French was in one (?) of the HP movies. 🙂 First I thought “wait, what? No she wasn’t” and then remembered that yes, she was the Fat Lady. She was great in it as well! Ahhh can’t wait for tonight!

Fitzg: pure delight! I LOL’d at the reference to the wedding dress in The Vicar of Dibley. I love it when Alice asks Geraldine about a pine wedding dress…makes me laugh every time.

I just love seeing the CA commericals on TV, it gives my heart a little start to see RA on prime time TV in the states in a big tent pole summer movie! So happy for him. And the suit ain’t bad either!
I vote for Atticus! He does remind one of a Gregory Peck — who BTW has his own US postage stamp.

This little ol’ Alabama girl votes for Atticus, too! I actually was playing around with the CA photos and looked at them in B&W. Oh, he was really channeling some of the old movie stars, like Gregory Peck. *sigh* He would be brilliant in that role.

Oh, yes, Mr. Peck always struck me as such a gracious gentleman. Never heard any scandal about him. And he had such a distinctive voice and features–and yes, the size of him. He had a sort of innate elegance I think Richard shares.

Gregory Peck did have a wonderful voice, too. And I frankly would prefer to hear Mr. A perform a southern American voice (i.e. Atticus Finch) than one emulating some other regions of the country. (No offense, anyone from Long Island . . .)
