At the bar we had everything but this

Unfortunately, the figure in the rear was not available at the bar we visited.

Luckily, there was plenty of the substance toward the front available.

Thanks a million, Armitage friend. The evening was perfect.

      • I think I could use the drink today, after dealing with my dad’s affairs. I knew all would not go smooth, to good to be true. We will keep it to ginger beer and not the soda pop stuff. If you like ginger it is good. But I will save it till Saturday, I got labs on Friday and doctor on Monday.

          • So do I, but will know on Monday. I am concern about the diabetes one, as last year it was up a bit. the thyroid too as it is giving me problems. I even held off birthday cake and meal which the boys make till Monday, taking no chances. I eat different than I did a year ago, so hoping it makes a difference.

  4. Hello 1990s. I remember those weird turtle-neck jumpers…
Is Young Armitage hiding a fag behind the massive pint? Might explain the sheepish expression and the wisps of smoke… *tuttuttut*

    • It could be… 😉 I haven’t noticed the smoke. Hawkeye guylty strikes back!

      • Glad *you* say so ;-). Incidentally, I am just rewatching George Gently and have greatly enjoyed Ricky Deeming licking a paper for his rollie. Ahhh, the way RA holds the fag between thumb and index finger – a natural *smirks*
(Nah, I am just kidding. No need to crucify me, Armitage ladies. I know how controversial this topic is, particularly in the US, and so I’ll stop goading right now…)

I think everyone knows that “me +” is smoker friendly. 🙂 I hope. 🙂

            • The fact that Armitage smoked once and may still do so is a topic that makes a lot of fans extremely angry, especially since I came out as (a) liking the look and atmosphere of smoking, especially when he does it, and (b) unwilling to condemn smoking universally or support those who would do so.

              • There seems to be a bit of a Europe/US divide there, though. Anyway, no, I know you(r blog) are/is smoker-friendly. One of the (irrational) reasons I love you 🙂

              • Oh well, as he did smoke in his early thirties it seems likely he started in his teens. It also seems likely that many of his friends and colleagues in theatre and musical circles did smoke. So no surprise at all. I can only say what I always say on the topic, if that is or was his worst habit, I’m not concerned a all. I would be concerned about alcohol or drug abuse or violent behaviour.

  9. Okay- so is there internet slang for “smack my forehead dummy”? I looked at this post for fifteen minutes last night, and I kept saying to myself, I wish the figure in the front wasn’t so tall so I could see the figure in the background and know what the hell Servetus was talking about. ( the baldish, bearded guy way in the back) I dismissed the front figure as being Richard Armitage because his part was on the wrong side.

Finally, I clicked on the source which got me to FL.

I’d like to know about your filing system-how you are able to pluck just the right shot out for the occasion.
