Tomorrow is Guyday but first I have to sleep. This week my students in various courseswere reading Book III of Castiglione’s Book of the Courtier, about 50 pages of a witchcraft trial record, and then a long monograph about confessionalization in early modern Ukraine (the last one was at their request; I’d never have picked it). Need some zzzzs! And tomorrow is Guyday and hopefully I can finish what I was trying to say about Guy’s durability.
