Oddly, it’s blogiversary number four. Yay!

After four solid years, only about 40 percent of the space on the blog is used. Not sure what this means.

Since making it to this point was totally unplanned and absolutely unanticipated (I’d planned to stop in December of 2012 at the latest), I’m not sure what to say anymore except:

Thank you. From the tips of my fingers, the depths of my brain, and the bottom of my heart.

To everyone who makes this possible, day by day!

To Richard Armitage, for inspiring us all.

    • I was sort of overwomanned by trying to figure out how to describe things, so I went for a short post, but you do a great job. You may not have been around the whole time but you make so many things possible, possibly more than you realize, through the inspiration and intellectual activity your posts inspire. Aperture, I’m telling you. Really glad you used that word.

  10. Thank you for keeping us sane and that may sound odd considering we’re all fans of RA but you give us thoughtful posts that have inspired us and helped us understand what it all means.     • Thanks. I’m kinda hopin’ for fewer literal palm trees, but I appreciate the sentiment 🙂 Actually, this is something I could write about now that I’m not hiding — palm trees. They are strangely fascinating.

      • I was referring to dream palm trees and what they symbolize, although literal ones are not too bad either. The best thing about them (for me) is if you stand next to them in a breeze, the wind through the fronds sounds exactly like ocean waves softly breaking. I love that. Instant stress relief.

  37. You know that 3 1/2 years ago, your blog was the beginning on my incredible journey, and it somehow opened up an amazing whole new universe for me! Thanks for all the fun, and for the tears, for your frankness, and for all your still unbridled determination, despite all the painful struggles. Amongst other things, I admire those “summaries/lists/(accumulation of)thoughts” of yours that so often thrill me and leave me stunned, yet speechless, and overwhelmed. Don’t let me forget those few posts that just confuse me, and if you look properly you can see a lot of question marks in my face….. (sometimes not too bad either…. 😉 ) Hope for a lot more of this hot stuff (to chew on)!!

    BTW Tonight I’ve been to a brilliant concert of Händel/Bach/Telemann with the Balthasar-Neumann-Ensemble, conductor Thomas Hengelbrock. You would’ve loved it. Sadly there is nothing of it on youtube, otherwise I’d have linked it to mark the occasion.
