• Not totally OT: Richard Armitage’s similarity to a figure in a Titian painting.
• Viggo Mortenson comments rather bluntly on Peter Jackson’s preoccupation with CGI in the LOTR films.
• Randall William Cook of WETA responds to Andy Serkis’ dismissal of CGI artists as “digital makeup” artists. One assumes Serkis said these things because he’s been dissed by the arbiters of acting awards so often, but still a bit mean, I think.
• After reading the fan abuse about behavior outside the Tom Hiddleston / Coriolanus stage door (and seeing it levied proactively against Armitage fans), this is the position that more or less reflects the conclusions I came to.
• Actors (McAvoy, Fassbender, Jackman) forced again to confront fan activities around their characters and persons. I know how I feel about this, but the comments on the article are interesting.
• Comic Book Resources decides to go to moderated forums after a nasty incident of fan bullying and stalking of one of their contributors. I don’t think I need to say how I feel about this either, given recent events.

Here’s the problem for me as an outsider — I don’t know enough about Indian politics after the Partition to have any meaningful opinion on this development. But I’m going to try to follow it more closely now.
