Richard Armitage and the trouser break, brief postscript
This photo, which I had not seen before, showed up today on tumblr at photos-gr.
Richard Armitage, wearing Zegna suit, attends world premiere of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, November 28, 2012, Wellington, NZ. Source: photos-gr.
This is the last piece of evidence that I needed to finish my earlier ruminations on the trouser break in his clothing history and in this particular suit. Look at that beautiful crease down the front of the leg and how elegant this pant looks, the way it draws our eye all up and down that very long leg. Fantastic clothing choice.
I couldn’t agree more also right length .
Are you attending a performance of The Crucible.

Wow. The way he carries himself here! He stands out like a regal specimen among all the regular people around him. If there are human gods….

nice point — even the best suit only looks good if you have great posture.

Jepp! Schlechte Haltung ruiniert den Eindruck genauso wie…….. genau: schlechte shoes.

Mr. Armitage always looks great in everything he wears, (except for that Louis Vuitton blue sweater, I hated that) and I know I’m going to be in the minority here, but I really don’t care for the slimmer cut suit. They just seem skimpy to me. I have always preferred the look of a true trouser break and a fuller cut suit. Just my personal preference. But then, I also preferred him with a little more meat on his bones, a la Guy.
