Huch! Hat er nur eine rote Birne oder hat ein Maskenbildner zugeschlagen? Ganz schön rote Bäckchen. Und dann in Kombination mit der Haarfarbe: schon ziemlich gewöhnungsbedürftig.

Hearing RA talk about love is not a bad way to start the week. Trying to figure out when this interview was done vis a vis the recording session in which he was photographed (the one he deleted from Twitter). The sweater’s the same but the other layers aren’t, plus the hair’s not red and there’s no beard. Am just curious, for no particular reason, how many sessions it takes to record something like this.

I don’t know — back in the day, someone from Naxos mentioned that it didn’t take him long to do one of the Georgette Heyer books. I forget the details, but he supposedly did them on weekends.

Actually, maybe the red cheeks cRAmerry refers to point to this being early January after the ski trip.

Thanks for a great way to celebrate Monday. He looks and sounds lovely. am struck by how well-groomed he appears. Not a hair out of place, and much less of it than usual, head and face. Or maybe that’s just what I see.His smooth voice is affecting my eyesight.

I would love to see some more hair though not on the face :).
Is that his natural hair color ?

I don’t know about his hair color. It looks lighter than usual to me, but so much depends on the atmospherics, who knows? ” Only his hairdresser knows for sure.” I’ve seen it darker, longer and redder, but perhaps not shorter. 🙂

Crikey! This man again, knocks me out flat on this cold, windy, gray, and dull Monday… Doesn’t he look extremely young with his blushed (sunburned?) cheeks? Perfect natural hair colour, no beard, that smooth voice…. talking about love …smiling with traces of shyness, his eyes cast down, acting …… Now that is almost too much to bear for me….today ..
No way not to love him! 😀

Jung, stimmt Linda. Ab das ist NICHT seine natürliche Haarfarbe! NEVER!!!!!

I agree, Linda. We have no way to resist than onslaught of a beautiful image with matching voice. Crap, and he seems like a nice guy and he’s tall. Soooo not fair.

If I had to pick just 3 out of this selection … I would choose:
“How do I love thee?”
“To his coy mistress”
and
“Meeting at Night”
The second one really made me laugh out loud – and when it comes to love this may be one of the most important things 🙂

I’ve been a big fan of To His Coy Mistress since I was about fourteen — such a sexy poem.

I think he’s going blonde-ish for the role…woot? The blushing is sweet…awww. He looks so slim again, maybe shorn.

This has just been the sweetest surprise today! To have it FOR FREE! To hear these read by him, the cherry-on-top! Chest is so inflated that to draw a breath takes effort! Why do I love words so much, and HOW does he do it? I’m so grateful that he does these things….

I’m so happy that he is carrying on doing voice work. It may be my favourite thing that he does, and I thought it might disappear after the Hobbit as he got so many more offers.

My theory was the main reason he did this was to keep his US visa — and that audible was a bit surprised at the positive response to it.
