#BlogIntroChallenge 3: What’s your (usual) blogging process?

blog-intro-challengeI described my usual writing process here (which applies to blogging) and my choice of topics here.

I would add to this that something I have done occasionally since the summer of 2012 is “live blog” an event, in which case I set myself up with two computers and close myself off in a dedicated space where I won’t be disturbed. The point at that moment is just locating, evaluating and blogging as much information from as many sources as possible. This wasn’t an original aim of the blog (something about which I’ll write shortly) but it’s become an unexpectedly popular feature. I don’t live blog every Richard Armitage event, but leave it up to mood, available time, and how badly I want to surmount any access issues I have. When I live blog, I do it for three reasons: (a) to create a record of my own perceptions; (b) to create a historical record and last but not least (c) because it often gives me a rush.
