But if you’re still focused on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, there’s also this:

John Porter (Richard Armitage) being tortured to reveal information in Strike Back 1.6.

John Porter (Richard Armitage) being tortured to reveal information in Strike Back 1.6.

Yes, that’s sacrilegious but the whole scene has biblical themes. A meaningful triduum, a Happy Easter to Christian friends. I, meanwhile, have off till Monday. Hopefully I can get some writing done!

  1. Ode to a cute chick

    He’s soft and so yellow,
    Such a beautiful fellow.
It’s hard to resist his appeal.
True, he looks a bit funny.
    He’s no Easter Bunny,
But Richard is keep’n it real.
    Delivering candy and eggs,
    With his shapely chicken legs.
    While softly giving a peep.
    What kind of a trick
    Turned him into a chick?
    Causing well-wishers to weep.

  2. Kathy, that is another brilliant from you XD

  3. lol – great! ❤

  4. Oh, you chickies are funny! Another priceless one, Kathy! Where’s your published compilation of these beauts, huh? Each poem matched to the inspiring photo? That’s a future fundraiser for sure…
Happy Easter to all those who celebrate 🐣🐤🐥

    • What a great idea. My poetry used for a good cause, other than to make well- wishers laugh. ( Which is a good cause, in a way.) 🙂

  5. Kathy, I hope you are saving these somewhere…..they are fabulous!

    • I just started to save them this week, because of such enthusiastic responses. I don’t remember when I started, but I found a few as far back as 2013. I am so happy you like them.

  6. I could almost see the title now… “Loads of Odes” 😅😆
Guylty has her RAPS, you have these. There must be some way to put RA in the title. I’ll leave that to The Wordstress …

    • Finding a title is more difficult than writing an ode. But easier than creating a RAPS, I think. Thanks for odes inspiration. How about “Odious RA Odes for all Occasions”? 🙂

  7. Only ostensibly odious though. In actuality, ogleworthy.

    • Gee, thanks. How about ” Outrageously Outstanding Odes to Ogle RA
      By ?”

      • Bingo Kathy! Sounds like a promising reading matter!! Therefore I would go for a 100 % subscripton (!) just in case to NOT MISS one of your outrageously outstanding odes!! Besides I unselfishly offer a home for this cute yellowish chick (or that rather impressing torso???) !!! Oh….. and many thanks to Serv for bringing it back in the limelight! 😉

        • Ok, Linda. Someday an avalanche of my cheesy odes will come your way.

          • Then you only have to give me a short-term warning, so that I’m not buried under the avalanche, but can step aside and have finally an unsurpassed view on all the unique and preciously outrageous rhymes. Oh, those unrivalled odes!!!! 😉
