Gah! Even with all that on his face, he’s still the most handsome man in the world to me.

He definitely manages to make it look elegant.

He looks like he’s just got out of bed. Yummy!
I was very intrigued to read about how the prosthetic cleft lip was applied. How did they hide the stubble, I wonder?

I know people didn’t like those checked shirts when they first appeared but I sure do. re: prosthetics application, no idea.

I’ve always liked the checked shirt(s) – we apparently have the same taste in RA and checked shirts LOL 😉

They had a brief period of being in style but they are so “normal.” I like “normal Armitage.”

Love this open, lightly mocking expression with those clear eyes, and the slightly raised left eyebrow. You look eagerly playful, and young Mr. Armitage… and at the ready. Imagining you without the obvious flaws in this pic makes me think of an almost overwhelmingly handsome man.

I agree. That eyebrow is something special.

The prosthetic artist did an excellent job, she should be commended. I’m sure having such a perfect specimen to work on made it easier!:)

not easy to introduce such a striking mark onto such a face and make it look like it belongs there.

Must admit it truly is amazing work they do and to do this on such a specimen.

What was his next job? Berlin Station? I can’t imagine it would take him more than a day to grow his stubble.

Pilgrimage. Actually the impression was created that he was late to that gig. In any case Hannibal filming went over original calendar.

Thanks! I guess he wasn’t joking when he said he’s hired for his beard growing abilities. Also is the red splosh on his cheek natural discolouration or makeup?

That’s a natural coloration issue apparently (you can see it some of the pictures of the initial read through of the Hobbit, as well). In his old press (before 2010) he mentioned once or twice that he has had skin issues.
