“Was liest du denn da, Schatz?” – “Ein Einführung in den englischen Slang”. Keine Fragen mehr offen.
Muppety? Richard is a beautiful man, a little age around the eyes but don’t we all. He does need to touch up the black in his hair. Then again, they’ll do that on set of his new spy character he’s playing. Can’t wait for that.
I see, what you mean 😂 It’s the mouth….

a derp is a silly / foolish person. Or you can say it as a way of remarking that something is silly or foolish.

Have you ever heard Steve Waring singing “Les Grenouilles”.
I am remembering those onomatopoeia. You can find him on you tube . The lyrics of the song are on: http://www.greatsong.net/PAROLES-STEVE-WARING,LES-GRENOUILLES,107410129.htm.
Thank you I am laughing with you.

It’s also a way of saying that someone has been caught (on a still) in mid-sentence or mid-movement, usually with droopy eyes and sagging mouth.

Nee.

Ok. Ich konnte es tatsächlich mimisch spontan umsetzen. Da fehlten mir doch glatt mal die passenden Worte 😁 untypisch

I wasn’t thinking — it’s a sort of obscure US joke. It was an article in Readers Digest for many years — “It Pays to Increase Your Word Power.” Now you know more than you wanted to 🙂 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilfred_J._Funk#Publishing_success

Muppety is also a good term for the look he gets when he does that sort of silly, big smile with raised eyebrows thing.
