    • Guten morgen! 🙂 There’s a Star Trek marathon on BBC America. Although I am getting very, very sleepy.

Also du bist ein Trekkie?

            • Yeah. Since I was a kid. Not enough to go to a convention or cosplay or wear Spock ears for fun or anything, but I’ve always love the show and will watch it whenever it’s on. Recently it occurred to me that I could make a plan to watch all the episodes in order. I was procrastinating from emptying out a closet in the basement …

It’s the 50th anniversary of the first broadcast, so a lot of channels are showing the original episodes this weekend.

                • Plus all the TV that’s being produced right now. And I have so many 19th century French novels to catch up on. Plus all of the world literature I’ve never even thought of yet …

I tried to watch it once in Germany, but I’m too connected to the voices of the original actors.

                    • It is. Although Keanu Reeves’ Synchronstimme is a better actor than he is, IMO. You’d think that would apply to this show insofar as Nimoy is the only one who can really act — but I had been listening to those voices for 20 years by the time I got to Germany.
