New blogger review of “Brain on Fire”
Here. This blogger took away from the film that doctors are careless. I think this is a risk in such a straightforward script. It’s clear from the book that Susannah Cahalan thought that and by reproducing the book so exactly, the film perpetuates that point of view. (In other words, this review sort of illustrates the assertion in my review that Gerard Barrett’s refusal to consider point-of-view “bullshit” in the film means that other messages become more important.)
