Richard Armitage used Rosetta Stone

Article in Drama Quarterly. This is interesting insofar as that’s one of the tools that the US diplomatic corps uses. (It can be really useful — I have used the Latin and Swedish ones.) Also, Olen Steinhauer has no ego (cough).

  1. I found the “job security” and “visible” comments interesting. So job security is still a consideration.

    • Possibly not in the way it was ten years ago, but I do think that a series is more likely to give one visibility and that makes roles easier to get anyway.

  2. Also, your Olen Steinhauer comment made me grin. A lot. 😁 What a modest little man. 😉

    • yeah, that closing comment was a doozy. So good to know he thinks he’s good at writing for TV. I’d say the jury’s still out on that one. At least it is with me.

  3. I love the articles or interviews that actually have new info or a different perspective. So many are just repetitive publicity.
