  1. This week. What a true great he was. What’s your favorite of his, Serv? I’m kinda partial to Famous Blue Raincoat. But I really love them all.

    • So many … Anthem. Democracy. Hallelujah (of course). Too many. He was interviewed recently and said he was ready to go but I was not ready.

      • I remember that interview. I thought it was strange at the time but he was true to his words as always.

What a legacy he left. His songs always reminded me of Chaghal’s painting.

        • I don’t cry easily but his songs had a profundity that always struck that chord in my soul.

          • He could make you feel everything – from laughter to sex to existential crisis to real religion. All through it immense respect and love for women.

            • I will miss him. Time to see which albums I don’t own so I can contribute to his kids’ inheritance …

  2. Oh wow… I hadn’t heard. I was always partial to Suzanne, and the collaborative album with Jennifer Warne singing his songs was wonderful.

  3. Leonard Cohens music and poetry and just his very presence has been a part of my life since I was a teenager. The first summer I moved from home I played his album (and especially “Suzanne”) constantly – it was comforting and at the same time made me feel like a real rad free spirit downtown in the big city. And I have loved and admired him to this day. First We Take Manhattan to Hallelujah. He has had such an interesting life. It is strange to know he has passed – he was one of those lights you think would never wink out, he was immortal to me.

  4. Such a great artist, I really love Halleluja – ein Jahrhundertsong❤
    RIP
