  1. I’m having a really hard time with this Trump fellow.

The result of this US election has so many unprecedented ramifications for the rest of the world. Sorry, but I just think I’ll stay away the next four years. I’ll have a hard time being a tourist in a country where I cannot support the politics of the nation. It’s the same with Turkey; I’d love to go to Turkey, but no…just, no.

  2. Go Richie! 🙂

  3. Like everything propagated by the west, Turkey is no worse than any given country in the West. Human rights abuses come in many forms. If you look at what Turkey has done for a number years supporting the refugees from Syria and look at where it strategically placed in respect to the the west and the gateway to the east, you may understand why I think there may be another story about Turkey and it’s leaders.

    • yeah, Erdogan is a nightmare but not one that somehow developed in isolation of everything else going on in the region. And the EU and US have been delighted to leave him almost alone with the refugee flood with minimal help and refusal to let him into the club.

  4. Thought I might post this to cheer you all up

There once was an old Duck, called D J the Fart,
Who looked in the mirror and said,”I look the part.
“With my hair, the world I shall mesmerise,
My orange glow will dazzle people’s eyes.
So world domination with the US I’ll Start!”
