  1. I am kind of surprised. I thought she was miscast in the part. She is a well respected actress and I think that often helps with awards

    • This award is chosen by people inside the NY theater professional industry — and there’s a long list of nominees for this award (like 25?). So, not to minimize her achievement or her work, I think she knows a lot of people.
