Happy 46th birthday to Richard Armitage!

Richard Armitage (2016)

***

It’s past midnight on August 22nd in the UK, where Mr. Armitage was born, so let the birthday begin.

Richard Armitage, I wish you all the best for the next year of your life and I hope you have a very special day. This year, I was so grateful to be able to see you in Love, Love, Love in New York City. The memories of watching you work live belong to the happiest of my life. My continued participation in celebrating your birthday is meant as a very small thanks for the joy, inspiration, and personal enlightenment that I and many of us have experienced while watching your work.

In honor of the occasion, I will make a donation of $1 (US) for each person who comments on this post from now until I close comments (probably around midnight my time, Tuesday night). A person is someone with a unique handle, email and IP address who leaves a comment HERE at my wordpress blog. Limit one comment per person. Lurkers and first-time commentors are welcome; however, I will not accept comments from people who have been blocked. There is no limit on the donation, but if comments exceed past expectations I reserve the right to complete the donation in installments. When I have made the donation, I will publish proof on this page. I will leave a message on the JustGiving page, but will not be sending separate notice to Richard Armitage.

As in years past, the money will be donated to Childline via JustGiving.

You may also want to give to one of Armitage’s other JustGiving charities.

Your comment does not have to have any particular content, but if you’re looking for something to say, you might share what vacation you’d take Richard Armitage on in the break between the Berlin Station wrap this week, and the beginning of filming for My Zoe.

Again, happy birthday to Mr. Armitage and happy Armitage Day for the rest of us!

[ETA: comments closed, 12:01 a.m., Wednesday, August 23, my time.]

  4. Many happy returns of the day to Richard. As for a vacation, I just want a vacation from my life right now. But then, if I were on vacation with Richard, that would pretty much be the definition of a vacation from my life and evidence that I’ve fallen into some wacky alternate universe. Thanks, Servetus!

    • That’s great! For me anyway it’s much more about participation than about the ultimate number. Although 4 and 6 are great numbers 🙂 I’ve always liked the even numbers better than the odd ones.

My donation goes to the children’s hospice in Moscow which I support and to one of the charities Richard supports. ❤️ P.S. I have a feeling he will have no vacation 😉
