LOTR supplement is going forward
Here‘s the news from Amazon. It will either be pre-Hobbit or between The Hobbit and LOTR. So definitely no call to reprise Thorin, I suppose.

If it’s pre Hobbit, we could see dwarves in exile. Thorin the blacksmith?

They could do a whole hour of that. I’d watch.

I will be very skeptical about this until I see something more concrete. I’m still recovering from the horrible (IMO) Mtv adaptation of the Shannara Chronicles, which is what I’m afraid this will resemble.

I suppose it will depend a lot on the creatives involved. But Jackson is a really hard act to follow.

Wonder if they will be using anything from Shadow of Mordor or Shadow of War games?

I don’t know anything about the games — would that be a new approach?

Really skeptical about a new adaptation …- and a prequel (hello Silmarillion?)
I wish it won’ t be as bad as Shannara (the Shannara Chronicles)

Interesting — KellyDS said that too. I haven’t seen anything of them other than pictures of Jed Brophy in disturbing looking prosthetics.
