  1. Still doesn’t sound like something I want to listen to. Sorry.

    • Yeah. Macarons?? If she says so. Pink is a really big turnoff. But I understand these are demands of the genre.

      • Think I’ll stick with what I find over on the Archive for reading about him. As for romance novels, when she reaches the status of Barbara Cartland, then I’ll consider giving it a listen.

        • She’s a self-publisher, so that’s unlikely to happen until she picks up a press.

The thing is there’s so much great fanfic …

          • Out of curiosity, if she’s a self-publisher, how’d she manage to snag an audition?

And I agree about all the good fanfic. Keeps me entertained for hours.

That should have been “audiobook “. 😣

              • Oh, ok. I’d never heard of her before this. But I don’t read contemporary romance novels, other than the ones my sister-in-law’s sister has written.

  2. She seems somehow worried that RA fans are not going to like it….??!!

  3. I have been unable to find this book in any shape or form except for a rather expensive paperback. SOOOOOO not happening.

    • I think Wanderlust doesn’t exist yet as a paperback — at least it’s supposed to be exclusively audiobook for several months before paper publication. Maybe there are ARCs floating around.

      • Found it on Amazon as a paperback for 10 bucks. (After clicking on it, I see now that’s pre-order. No wonder I can’t find it at my usual haunts. coughcough) On Goodreads, it’s has the 2nd highest ratings of all of her books – and she has a lot. (Obviously ARCS now, as ebooks are showing due out there in mid-February. Maybe then I can find them in my usual haunts coughcough)

For someone who has only been publishing for 3 years, she has a LOT of books.

I’m just really mixed on this. I have a dozen of her books – all of them freebies on Amazon at some time. And all look like porn with maybe some SMALL plot, which doesn’t interest me.

        • Wow, $10. I suppose this is one of those books that’s really designed to be read on an e-reader and the physical book is an afterthought?

          • There are books that NEED to be ‘hidden’ on an ereader. Some of the covers, these days, are porn. Not that I know anything about that. 😀

(But I know people who won’t use an ereader for any reason.)

      • Correction – Audible is coming out in February, the ebook and paperback are coming out in March. Still…. meh

  5. Crikey! Will there be unicorns too?! I can’t help wondering whether there is any significance to the reference to a “pink door”?!!

      • Could someone please explain me ignorant person what it is about this pink door?? (hidden meanings??)
PS.: I’d love to have a green door!!! 😀 😉

        • I don’t know about pink doors. “Beyond the Green Door” was the name of a famous / notorious / pioneering porn film in the US in, I believe, the 1970s.

  6. I’m curious why it is “not quite” the male POV series, but definitely “nothing like” the sinful and seductive series. We need more research. What’s the difference?

  7. I’m reassured a little by her comments… could be fun.

  8. I can confirm after starting up the audible version of “Big Rock”, which is an all male POV, that it IS TOTALLY “bawdy”, which left me stunned that RA would do something like it. Now her twitter comments make me think this new release will be toned down quite a bit, which is probably a good thing for a lot of RA’s fans, but it’ll be interesting to see what her regular fans think. =)

    • Thanks for taking it on — it’s the great unanswered question, I suspect. I do know that for certain kinds of fanfic, I only want to read it if it’s erotic. (shrugs)
