Jinx / toi toi toi: Daniel Brühl thinks “My Zoe” will film in Berlin in May #richardarmitage

Here, from an interview about his new film, “7 Days in Entebbe.” He doesn’t say “My Zoe,” but he says it’s a film with Julie Delpy and his production company is involved, so it fits.

  1. In May…interesting. They are shooting in Berlin? I wonder if Armitage is doing double duty or if he dropped one of the two projects. If it came down to him having to make the choice, which do you think he would make? I’m thinking he would choose My Zoe.

    • this gets complicated b/c it involves a lot of variables, but — IF Rhys Ifans was in series 3, then they probably wouldn’t have been planning to shoot Berlin Station until June anyway as he was supposed to be in a play until mid-June. HOWEVER, he has dropped out of that play due to “family reasons” and we don’t know if he was even in it. All of which is to say I don’t know, but I suspect that MZ would be something like a 3 week shoot, so I don’t know that there would be a conflict.

      • Three weeks? Wow, I had no idea the shoot would be that short. That’s good then, I would like to see him in both.

        • and I forgot – filming would be in Budapest this year, no?

          • Yeah, but it’s only a 90 min flight.

Her film budgets tend to be small. I looked this up a few months ago and forgotten, but she simply won’t have the money for a long shoot.

  2. All fingers crossed for “My Zoe”! At least Richard is going to be back in Berlin for some weeks. Thanks Serv for providing us with this interesting interview. Good guy, Daniel! (Hahaha😉)

    • Was a very interesting interview. I had planned to see the movie anyway, of course, but this was quite an intelligent piece.
