  3. IIRC JP was, at this moment, frantic, desperate and out of all other options. Is that how you are feeling?

It was also the beginning of a victory. Hoping you end the day feeling you are winning the battle too.

    • Yeah — I felt trapped. Which got worse since that day, but also some things have changed.

I do think one aspect of this process is that at least so far there is a lot of visible progress, i.e., the therapy is helping whether or not dad really wants to cooperate with it. It’s going to be a bit more of a problem when progress slows and his continuation with skilled therapy is dependent on his willingness to practice.

  4. Oh dear, sometimes it is necessary to smash sth, but please take a pillow. It is easier to clean afterwards and cheaper. I speak from my own experience.
Here it is a good german song, maybe it will cheer you up a bit “Mark Forster: Sowieso”

  5. An apt metaphor for dealing with the medical system from time to time.

  6. Anger and frustration- unfortunately two human traits that feed off each other. Take care and breathe deep and count to 10 or sometimes it takes up to 100.
