We had bad weather here in NE as well this morning. According to local news, icy roads caused the worst traffic problems we’ve seen in the last ten years. I was thankful all my little family got to their various destinations safely
it’s a little cooler than normal but this doesn’t qualify as a truly early snow. My brother told me yesterday that the Farmer’s Almanac says it will be a cold winter but not a snowy one. Hope that’s true.
Welcome winter or not. Not looking forward to this winter at all. I have fieldwork . I still go fieldwork 1 2nd part in December and that is a hour away one way. No clue where I will be 2nd semester, I also have 2 different places to go. Hate winter driving.
I had a t-shirt on the other day, but I wear them until it’s about 40F. But I think we’re now officially into winter, and it won’t get quite that warm again for a while.
I wasn’t planning to see Bohemian Rhapsody, but it was a situation where I needed out of the house and it was the only possibility, so I did got to the very latest show one night (that’s convenient, if I’m worn out and the Dadsitter is available). It was okay but nothing to write home about. The Favorite may not make it here unless it gets an Oscar nom.
I like the frosty pumpkins. Ours don’t last more than two days because of the heat. They fall apart when you pick them up. Hope your grading is not adding to your stress too much. I know you have so much on your plate, it is probably overflowing.
Deer hunting is next weekend, so I get a few days with dad away. And then Thanksgiving is after that so I get a few days without students … light is in sight.
Cute these pumpkins with white caps. Today it was 17°C and sunny wheather. It was really abnormally warm the last days. Normaly there are about 0-8°C in November. I am preparing our stuff for our yearly Christmas market, but with such temperatures I am not in the right mood.

Traffic was bad here, too — although every year I think it’s like everyone’s just forgotten from last year how it is. Glad you and yours are all safe.

Wow! It’s getting cold over here in Seattle, but not that cold yet. We finally had our first frost yesterday…!

Wow, looks beautiful. Although I am glad it isn’t what I see when I look out of the window 😉

it looks better than it feels, that’s for sure. I liked the juxtaposition of the snow with the Halloween decorations.

Oh geez that sucks. No movie outing? I’m sure onion rings or cheesy fries would hit the spot right about now!! 👍👏😉

I might go tomorrow night but the only thing that even slightly appeals is the movie Armitage recommended about the addiction thing

So Bohemian Rhapsody was a no go then?
What about the Emma Stone The Favorite? Any buzz on that movie?

Just got snow tires put on yesterday. My car is ready, but I’m not!
I like the picture, by the way.

I always think the first time the wind clips me across the face that I’m a bit surprised — and not quite ready. But by the second time I’m ready 🙂

You can come here — it really got cold last Thursday — I think of it as more Thanksgiving weather but I’m sure it could be transposed 🙂
