Yes and no – the turtleneck is good but the Waterstones jumper was my all time fave…

i think the one i like Mr. Richard Armitage wearing was the one where he was doing those promo shoots on the beach for The Lost Daughter. it was stretched out a little bit and wasn’t tight like this one and the one he wore in those shots at the hoteI (it was a black turtleneck). i am not a fan of turtle necks, it makes me feel like i am choking/can’t breath. when i see people wearing them, i want to go up to them and stretch the turtleneck so they could breath. I know he probably wears them to keep warm or to protect his voice or just likes them. But i think he looks more handsome in t-shirts and the open collars/dress shirts

good point, I forgot about that one.

He looked too sad in that one although it looked good. He looks as if he has his spark back now. And it looks like an Aran jumper which I love on men.

Nope, definitely not an Aran jumper. They are much chunkier. This is the delicate version of an Aran jumper.

Yes, definetely, he should wear turtlenecks more often. Then he could take them off more often 😉.

The only place I like to see a man in a turtle neck is on a ski slope. The only place I like to see a man in maroon trousers is – nowhere. However, love the pic despite the unfortunate clothing choices.

I’m always up for après-ski.

He has a LOT of clothes. He looks very fine indeed in his cozy turtleneck. I love this look, it makes me feel all warm inside (necessary on days like today up here). He has accessorized his sweater with his knowing little smile ‘Ya, I’m hot and I know it in this sexy little jumper’

Given that he was being styled, he might not own this sweater.

He should keep it – looks good on him

Most clothes he looks good in including the turtleneck. But my favorite is an shirt with a few buttons open so you can see the skin and sometimes ,if lucky, a bit of hair on the chest.

he should NOT hide his Adam’s apple, either, IMO.

If his other turtlenecks are this scrumdumlicious like this one, then yes, he should wear them. swoon

This is a good point — this might be an anomalous turtleneck.

But apart from the winter wear – the morsel for Christmas! Do we dare hope for a little freebie? That would be really, really nice. And actually also well-deserved. Audible has definitely earned quite a bit of money from me this year. And I don’t even like audio books…

I think they do an annual Christmas offering. I’m skeptical that I will be interested in it, though. I’ve been trying to assess what has me so snarky about all of these audiobooks and I think it’s that, since The Bloody Chamber, there’s been nothing to really give me that feeling of anticipation. I just think they’re not going to provide that. It will be some dusty, sneezy classic or else some schlocky contemporary thing. I’m not getting my hopes up.

I am with you on that, Serv. All they provide are money-making pieces, hence the (badly written) erotica, umpteenth classic or popular detective/thriller novel. I’d love to hear some poetry again (even though I prefer to read myself. Oh oops, yeah, because I am a reader, not a listener.)

He tends to read poetry faster than I’d like, but at this point … if it’s free, of course I’ll download it and give it a try.

Love the turtle neck — very cozy for snuggling. However… I have this idea that covering the neck and the elaborate hairstyling are both to do with his fear of looking older. Goes along with the filters. I would rather see more graceful aging, myself. (Or would I find the bald spot, which I’m gathering must exist, off-putting? I don’t think so.)

re his hair, I assume the question is potential employers / casting, as opposed to what he’d do himself or what we’d prefer. He’s reaching a weird point for male actors — too old for young roles but not yet ready for the older ones.

Oh, logically I know that. I’m sure it’s much too much trouble when he’s just in his regular life — hence the baseball caps. I do wonder, though, if there’s a way to style his hair that isn’t quite so poofy in front. But yeah. He has to do what he has to do.
