Can Meghan Markle be immune to the charms of Richard Armitage?

The Duchess of Sussex has just assumed the patronage of the National Theatre (in succession to Queen Elizabeth II).

So all we have to do to get the play we’ve been pining for is to get Richard Armitage into the path of Her Royal Highness, right?

How do we do it?

  1. I was thinking the very same thing when I heard the news.

  2. LOL. But tell me, is there some sort of history between the two? Has Markle said somewhere that she is not averse to the charms of the TDH Brit? Or is this an insider joke I simply don’t get?

    • No, no evidence. I just know he wants to be in a play in London and now she’s the patron. Just joking.

Also… Schicksal nimm deinen Lauf! aufgeregtgiggel

        • I’d forgotten about that! Wasn’t he their MC / compere at the reception? So yeah — Corden tells Markle and Markle tells the theatre leadership!

          • Armitage is not necessarily the kind of guy you imagine frequenting lots of wild Prince-Harry-style parties, either.

              • I kind of wonder if you’re the National Theatre, if you really want them to come to all that many plays. So much commotion.

  4. I loved Meghan ever since Suits, so that sounds fantastic to me! She’s obviously a very bright young woman AND professional actress, who knows a good thing when she sees it 😎😀

  6. What about Ian McKellen? Gandalf could help Thorin again. He has a strong bond to the NT and know members of the royal family. As said by someone one knows someone who knows someone….

    • I just saw an article that she’s going to participate in an acting workshop at the National Theatre. Maybe we can get her to take him along? I don’t need her to love him — just get him cast!
