  1. Jeepers, he has really covered all angles this year, hasn’t he? I hope he gets at least one of the gongs… adding to his (far too small) collection of awards.

  2. Wow, four nominations! That’s fantastic! He deserves each and every one.

  3. It’s always great to see some much deserved recognition of his work. I wonder, if it’s not a win in the Best Narrator category- but say Best Fiction -does the narrator get an award as well as the author?

  4. It’s great to see his audio narrations acknowledged. The other day I was thinking what an unsupportive fan I am as I haven’t been that excited about his acting on screen of late. Then I realised I had just finished listening to Fourth Friend. He portrayed all the characters so beautifully, and I was so immersed that I forgot it was him narrating. So I guess I am still supportive.

  6. By the by, Penguin has just answered my enquiry concerning the voice in the prologue and epilogue. They confirmed it isn’t Richard’s, but their in house producer’s. They thought Richard was Joe’s voice and they needed a different one. https://twitter.com/guille171170/status/1105211651039600640

    • well, that’s a relief — as the voice did lack a resonance I associate with Armitage. How weird that they’d just have a random person do it, though.
