Richard Armitage tangentially related
The Stranger:
- Will begin filming March 5.
- Imogen Heap is on his playlist; she was interviewed recently on WNYC.
Wolverine: The Lost Trail:
The Lodge:
- Makes Den of Geek’s future anticipated list.
- Review at Visually Stunning Movie Podcast (I have not listened).
- Very positive blurb at 48 Hills.
- Executive producer gets a promotion.
- The film was also chased by (troubled) distributor Annapurna.
- Directors Franz and Fiala will be included in an upcoming film on the horror genre.
Castlevania:
RDC5:
Past projects:
- More Berlin-centered TV while we aren’t waiting for Berlin Station 4.
- (Berlin Station): A fan volunteers to improve the Estonia accuracy in any future episodes.
- From Fatima: An interview with Grace Grant (Armitage’s co-narrator in Wanderlust).
- Audies 2019: Tan France will host.
- (Ocean’s 8): Kelly Kapoor would have loved the film.
- (Wolverine: The Long Night): Very positive review in the major Munich paper. Richard Armitage plays a superhero so beautifully that “he sounds as audacious as if he had washed down a sack of sawdust with whiskey.”
- (The Taking of Annie Thorne): Interview with author CJ Tudor at 2:45:59. I have not listened.
- Check out this Czech site (ouch, I’m sorry), which has some pictures of Armitage I hadn’t seen before.
- A previously unseen photo from Sundance 2019.
- (North & South): What Mr. Thornton moment makes you swoon the most?
Collateral attractions:
- Yaël Farber (The Crucible)’s revival of Athol Fugard’s Boesman and Lena is in previews and will run for a few more weeks at New York’s Signature Theatre (Off-Broadway). (All of the characters in this play are Black or multi-racial, so probably not an option for Armitage.)
- Interview with Keeley Hawes (Vicar of Dibley).
- Jon Bernthal (Pilgrimage)’s series The Punisher has been canceled.
- A new trailer for Rocketman is out. Do you see Mark Atkin (The Hobbit) in it anywhere?
Things Armitage has said:
- (interest in Richard III): Leicester Cathedral will be doing a renovation (via King Richard Armitage).
Fandom:
- A John Thornton Funko pop. Seriously, these need to be mass produced.
- More Batman gossip. And even more.
Things we’ve talked about:
Simon Belmont is a descendant of Trevor (a couple of kids down the line). I wonder if it means Adi Shankar is gonna make a timeskip or extend the netflix version to him… though that probably means Trevor will stop or have less time in the show?

In the game, Simon is more of Trevor’s great (5x) grandson? 😅https://castlevania.fandom.com/wiki/Belmont_Family_Tree but maybe Adi Shankar would change it for the netflix series and turn them into brothers.

Serv, Love these posts and I thank you. ****Potential Spoiler, Castlevania**** From the days when my 3 boys were Castlevania players, I thought Simon was Trevor’s son. Here is what I just found: “Born in 1067, Simon is the son of Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belmont. At the age of six, his parents were murdered by the forces of Dracula, Sypha to a pack of lycans and Trevor against Dracula in single combat. Simon was lucky to escape with his own life.”
