Richard Armitage tangentially related
More from RDC5:
- Starfury Conventions is posting official pictures of the event on its Instagram. ICYMI there are some beautiful images there.
- Armidreamer, part 1 and part 2.
- A report from a Chinese fan in five parts: one and two and three and four and five.
- Guylty, part 6 and part 7.
- Kate, part 2 and part 3.
Current projects:
- (The Stranger): Harlan Coben was in Manchester earlier this week, although he’s since been in the U.S. to visit his son and for a book tour.
- Castlevania makes a “most worth it” list. Although the streaming bubble seems poised to burst, the series may be an example of how to survive the apocalypse. Here’s an article on why Castlevania bucks the “there are no good video game adaptations” rule. Adi Shankar will speak at a free event at SXSW next week.
Past projects:
- (Berlin Station): What the BfV (Esther Krug’s employer) is doing in the current political atmosphere in Germany.
- (Berlin Station): They’re still dithering about a fourth season at EPIX.
- (Berlin Station): Paramount Pictures said to be profitable for the first time in four years.
- (Spooks 8.7): Commentary on the current India – Pakistan situation.
- (North & South): Seven scenes Trudy wishes were in the series. And ten memorable Mr. Thornton moments.
- (Brain on Fire): Makes a Refinery29 “best of” list.
- (Captain America: The First Avenger): Buying guide for the 4K Ultra HD edition.
- (Ocean’s 8): Gaga wears an Ocean’s 8-esque item to the Oscars.
- (The Impressionists): New BTS pic has surfaced.
- (Hannibal): Armitage has contributed a short greeting to this book, available in August 2019.
- (The Taking of Annie Tudor / The Hiding Place): More praise from author CJ Tudor for the narration.
- I may not have seen this pic before.
Collateral attractions:
- Ian McKellen (The Hobbit) has a few nonsensical things to say about Kevin Spacey and Bryan Singer. He’s pulled back but it’s not clear to me that he really understands the actual issue: abuse of power.
- Yaël Farber (The Crucible): review of her Athol Fugard revival here and at the NYT, where it was a critic’s pick. Interesting comments about the movie from historical context to the mythic one. The only Fugard play I’ve ever seen is Master Harold and His Boys — this is one I’d definitely be interested in viewing, incense or not. Farber is also cited as part of a new, more provocative strategy at the Young Vic.
Things Armitage has said:
- (admiration of Olivia Colman): A guide to her previous work.
- LAMDA gets a new director.
- Armitage acknowledged a further donation from the RichardArmitageNet.com amazon affiliate links last weekend. ICYMI you can participate in this program by entering the Amazon page from this portal; each purchase that generates a commission accumulates in Ali’s account and she transfers them periodically to Armitage’s favored charities.
