Things we’ve talked about:

  • Flower crowns.
  • Horror films and the plausibility problems: I remember exactly where I was when I first saw the publicity for Blair Witch Project — sitting at the computer catalog at the Johannes a Lasco Bibliothek in Emden. And it scared the hell out of me. And then three weeks later I was watching some kind of “making of” documentary for it in the US, and the doc featured handwriting that was in no way plausible as historic, witch-hunt era writing, and that took all the plausibility and the horror out of it. Anyway, here’s a retrospective on the film (which I never did see). Also potentially interesting insofar as “found footage” was supposedly part of what attracted Armitage to Into the Storm (although there ended up not being much of it).
  • Good taste vs. bad taste — worthwhile POV although I disagree somewhat.
  • Intimacy coordinators on set — there will be guidelines to follow.
  • On airport reads (my category for Harlan Coben’s novels).

  1. Wedding Nightmare or Midsommar are horror movies in the same vein.
