Happy 48th birthday, Richard Armitage!

“I solemnly swear that I am up to no good!” Richard Armitage in Seoul a few days ago.

Happy birthday to Richard Armitage and many happy returns!

It’s been another big year with lots of accomplishments and probably a unique year for him in ways both good and less good. Nonetheless I continue to wish Mr. Armitage all the best for happiness, career success, health and whatever else he wants. And I’m looking forward to whatever materializes in the coming year.

I’m can already feel that I’m not going to wax lyrical this year, so I’ll get down to business. This is my usual, typical birthday post, the ninth of its kind. As per usual, in honor of the occasion, I will make a donation of $1 (US) for each person who comments on this post from now until I close comments (when I go to bed Friday night, probably in about 30 hours from this post). A person is someone with a unique handle, email and IP address who leaves a comment HERE at my wordpress blog. Limit one comment per person. Lurkers and first-time commentators are welcome. Your comment does not have to have any particular content. There is no limit on the donation. I will leave a message on the charity’s page in the name of a group of fans, but will not be sending separate notice to Richard Armitage.

This year, the money will be donated to LOROS in honor of Margaret Armitage.

Those in a giving mood may also want to give to one of Armitage’s JustGiving charities.

If you need something to comment about: What would you have at your late night birthday dinner with Mr. Armitage — hypothetically, of course?

  1. My supper with Mr Armitage would be Mussels to start, followed by a good steak and chips and salad with some chocolate ice cream for pudding. As always well done for doing this again xxx

  3. I just spent a day at a nordic spa and loved it so much, that’s where I would take Richard for his birthday. We would do the “thermal experience” a few times – the hot sauna followed by the cold plunge, then after that share a charcuterie plate with a good red wine. Happy birthday to Richard!

    • It would be from room service, that’s for sure. The menu would be something along the lines of dinner scene in Tom Jones film.

  8. We would go out. Winnipeg has gained a reputation as a foodie city. We would either go have brunch or dinner at Stella’s, mimosas or wine with a meal depending on the hour. I would recommend the fish tacos.

If it’s dinner, we go to The Grove, an English-style pub for a little taste of home. Then go walk around The Forks to watch the sun set.

In my fantasy, the Conservative government would come through with a 25 million dollar boost to the Manitoba film industry tax credit, enabling something not a Hallmark or Lifetime to film in town.

  11. In my family, we traditionally ask the birthday person what they want, so if his menu isn’t something I’m good at (pretty likely tbh), I’d take him out. I would definitely ask him, in view of this adorable kiddy pic, if he had any idea then that he would be breaking the internet someday (he looks like he’s thinking of breaking SOMEthing! 😀)
Thanks for doing this again, Serv, lovely helping LOROS…. thinking of you & wishing/ praying the best 💖

  16. I’ve been craving Chinese food lately… maybe get a feast of the little cardboard containers and curl up on the couch watching something on TV. Usually I say steak, but maybe something different!

We could of course still have cake for dessert. When I was a kid we used to have chocolate cookie cake. Chocolate biscuits spread with whipped cream, then put together in a log, covered in more whipped cream, then put in the fridge overnight. The biscuits become soft and chocolatey and the whipped cream is like ice cream. Yum.

Thanks for doing this Serv. Happy birthday to our guy… you’re right… he sure did look like his mum!

But I hardly would be able to eat anything 😂 I would just star at him with open mouth 🤣, listen him joking and laughing and smiling (not necessarily to me, I’m not that selfish 😉)
Thank you for doing this ❤️🤗

  18. Happy Birthday to Richard Armitage! Gosh, what would I have for dinner with him…I think I’d make a roast chicken dinner with stuffing and mashed potatoes and gravy! Hopefully he’d enjoy it!
PS-I’m not new here, but I lost my log-in info for WordPress and my computer wiped out all my passwords, so I’m logging in a different way and my name/picture might look different from before. Just fyi…!

  19. I hope he has a wonderful Birthday, even though is doesn’t seem likely that he is in the U.K . so not with family which is a pity.
I used to ask my children what they would like for their birthday dinner and my second son’s reply? (I think only a Scot will understand so I won’t bother to translate). His reply, said with gusto, “Mince and tatties”! He was just a small boy at the time, but he really loved to eat that!
Thank you, S, for doing this for yet another year!

A dinner! Lovely idea! For the event better an home made one: a tatin with tomatoes and onion and the only real spaghetti bologna, with tuna. And stuffed peaches.

[…] And there’s an extra delight that I have won a small item in Guylty’s auction for Richard’s birthday and that she has been able to transfer € 2300,- as proceeds from the auction to the Shelter charity! I really love the thought of making a donation to a charity as a birthday present so it’s been a delight to be a tiny part of this. (Modified to add: Servetus also has a fundraiser still going on, as I type this, over on her blog! Check it out if you like!) […]

    Thank you!
