We all have school photos like this. I’m just not brave enough to post mine!! Interesting though, that he would have that picture at hand to post. He was a cutie! Happy Birthday Richard!

He was lucky not to have a Jewish grandmother — he’d have bruises on those cheeks from the pinching 🙂

Or a Yugoslavian grandmother! My former MIL was ALWAYS pinching Spawn!

I’d love to pinch those chubby cheeks — but they are long gone. 🙂

What a cutie but not how I imagined he would look as a young child (if that makes sense). He really looks like his mum. Love the chubby cheeks. His natural hair colour appears to be much lighter too, a mix of reddy sandy brown.

I figured he must have had a large head.

Turns out i was late on your lovely yearly birthday post, but i still wanted to say thank you for your generosity as always 🙂 As to the dinner proposal,. hm… a lovely turbot dish would be such a treat and i’d definitely bake one of my gran’s Austrian cake recipes 🙂
And what a cute photo this is, looks pretty mischievous and yes, very much like his mum 🙂

I loved seeing this dorky-yet-adorable childhood pic of our Richard because it’s so relatable. I love his slightly mischievous grin, rosy cheeks and that little tuft of unruly hair on the side. Proves he was a goofy little kid like the rest of us! 🙂 So cute.

Oh that’s who he reminded me of! His mum. I also missed your wonderfully generous birthday post Servetus. Being vain ( me and him) my meal with Richard couldn’t involve any messy eating, so no spaghetti in tomato sauce slapping round the face, spinach in the teeth, stringy mozzerella and no beloved red wine, as this always leaves little devil horns above my mouth. It would probably have to be neat little tapas, nothing too heavy …

I sympathize with you; that stuff always ends on my shirt front. Adding: ramen.

That’s one of the reasons why I rarely wear white clothes.

A very belated birthday to Richard. I just love the picture of him 8 years old. He looks so mischievous and incredible frank like only an 8 year old can do.
I have supported LOROS a couple of times during the past year. I would invite Richard to a seafood fest. The Swedish have a ‘kalas’ around this time where shrimps and snaps are served. It’s great food and good fun – and, if you’re not careful, you’ll end up with a massive headache the next day 🙂
