I’m starting to wish he had the invisibility superpower, too

Guylty collects pictures of Armitage at the Seoul airport. Honestly, he was more fun when we didn’t see a picture of every single movement he made. This constant being photographed every time he moves is seriously run of the mill celebrity fare of the kind I’ve always avoided contact with in my normal life, and it’s starting to get annoying.

  1. Hmm, i believe photos of him spike up when he was in Korea. From my days of being active in kpop fandom, celebs are photographed almost everywhere, especially in the airports. Because of this, they have to be dolled up heading to their flights which eventually started the trend “airport fashion”.
I was only mildly surprised that RCA was photographed on his arrival and departure. Somehow it did remind me again of the happy times of seeing beautiful pictures of the idols I followed, and I am delighted to have HQ photos of Richard and his soft hair haha.
I do understand where you are coming from. With kpop idols their visuals are really part of the package they give to their fans, with actors it’s not the priority(?). I get that it is exhaustive that his every move is followed and pictured. I think I just enjoyed these photos because I’m not certain when I’ll see these kinds of pictures again. I don’t really expect he’ll get this kind of airport photos when he lands in the UK or in Europe. And I’m glad his fans had a great time with him, and was very respectable and offered him a warm welcome.

    • I’m not criticizing fans, or that some people enjoy these photos, or that fan culture is different in Korea. I’m just saying while I don’t mind one way or the other if he’s occasionally photographed in an airport (it is neither illegal or immoral), if this kind of photo became standard it would be (is) a huge turnoff for me.

  2. Not to worry, he’s heading to Toronto. Canadian’s will make sure things are nice and invisible, with minimal photographs. We’re good that way. 🙂

  3. I honestly don’t care one way or the other….However, I’d like to see him in a great role, one he can sink his teeth into, not these “bit parts” that seem to be more frequent than his audio books..(I prefer a book in my hands)….Hoping The Stranger will be a good watch on Netflix….
