More reviews of Uncle Vanya
The Stage (this is the review I’ve read so far that is most divergent from what I saw)
British Theatre Guide (skeptical about the updates)
North West End (OK, Richard Hermitage ISN’T a real person; that was a joke)
Evening Standard (calls Armitage “one dimensional,” okay, whatever)
The Upcoming (thinks it’s too stodgy but calls Armitage a charming drunk)
Time Out London (remarks on the chemistry between Jones and Astrov — huh)
The Independent (finds it boring, apparently, but describes Armitage as playing Astrov with “a faded nobility”)
BroadWay World UK (loved it)
London Theatre (likes it, but not as much as last year’s)
