Thank you for all the links . I only saw the play once in the previews ,but on reading all these very mixed reviews I am glad I went before the press did!
Overall I get the opinion that they think RA underplayed the role which is a shame because I think he was spot on, leaving the histrionics to Toby Jones was correct.
I didn’t know the three monologues were additions so I wasn’t bothered by them.
