Horrible timing, although dying on RH is supposed to be evidence of significant righteousness.
There’s a whole discussion now going in the US about what Zichronah L’brachah means, because of course people started off with saying “RIP” which you wouldn’t technically say about a Jew.
I wanted to wish you a Happy New Year… but there’s this sad piece of news. I have no words.

Devastated. And I can’t stop thinking about the immense burden for a sick 87 year old woman to try and stay alive as long as possible. RIP.

Very sad news… what an amazing woman she was. I wish she had lived through happier times at the end of her life than she did…

The new year didn’t start so happy, did it? Her memory already is a blessing, may it always remain that.
