This was one of the things I ended up finding least credible — after pushing the whole “it’s the ambassador and the administration conspiring to destroy the world as we know it,” now it’s a rogue network of extremist agents? Who just duped Hanes into cooperating? I suppose. But honestly if you’re going to propose something like that, go big or go home. This was just stupid.
