  3. I would say that he probably has not had a hair cut since he was on stage. Where it seems long, really it’s not that long. Both my youngest boys have grown out their hair and this looks like maybe six month of growth on pretty short hair.

Son 2 has not cut his hair in almost five years other than a maybe three inches I finally was able to get him to let me take off last summer before he when to Japan. He does have curly hair so really can’t tell the real length on his hair. Son3 has not had a hair cut in almost two years. He got his hair cut that October for his senior pictures and has not had one since. He has slight wavy hair. Where at first their hair seemed long compared to now it was short.

I would say that he has colored his hair and beard.

    • I think I cut my hair more often than your sons do! 🙂

      • So do I. I have only had it cut twice this year. That’s two more times than either one of them. But I also have long hair that i get trimmed or its dry due to the curl/wave I have. There dad and I view as your only young once and I am pretty sure son2 will loss his hair like my husband and son1 and lots of other family members on both sides the family. Son3 I think will keep it like my dad, who had a full head of hair at 90 when he died. He also looks like my dad in the face.

        • oh, I totally agree. People need to decide about their own hair! I just think of where you live as an area that would frown on long hair for men.

          • Yes and no with regards to long hair on men. My husband is part Native American and it is not unusual to see at less 25% of the men/boys with long hair. Son2 looks like his dad who looks Native American, Son3 looks lighter with lighter brown hair. I think only my husbands family has said anything to them about their hair, in which I just tell the family member they are jealous that the boys still have hair but for the most part I think they are just joking as a few had long hair in the 80’s. Son2 has been called J.C. because he also has a beard. His cousin even said to him at there grandmas celebration of life that “Grandma was a big fan and even read his book”. Not sure what others in ear shot thought of that. I will say that he kind of see a likeness of Son2 and the pictures we see of paintings of J.C. I don’t think Son2 has had anyone ever say something about his hair in his job working in IT for a large Wisconsin corporate company in the corporate office. He also lives in a college town, so I am pretty sure most people don’t care. He always wears it in a low ponytail when out and about due to the curls that like to frizz. I also think that the boys really don’t care what other people think. I am sure both my dad and my FIL would not know what to think about it. If they ever decide to cut their hair I would like to see then donate it to Locks of Love, they both have beautiful hair.

  4. So, back in Blighty…This is what we call “Corona-hair” where I come from. However, the colour is somewhat on the very dark side, or maybe it’s the lighting.
I too am in quarantine. My tests are inconclusive, and so better safe than sorry. Working from home, and just waiting.

    • That must be frustrating (inconclusive tests).

      • And now a negative one – it has been frustrating, yes.
Back to work – although being sent home to work, because many parts of Copenhagen experience micro-eruptions (as they call it).
I hope you’re doing okay in spite of the situation.

  5. Not sure how I feel about this look, although it fits the part. He looks much younger — no forehead lines due to filters I guess.

    • LOL. Well, Lucas North’s hair was really black, too, and we didn’t complain about that.

      • Point taken 😉 but i am getting a bit tired of the anti ageing filters, don’t see why a run down and depressed Astrov can’t have a few greys. But we’ll see how it looks on screen when the time comes. Just never been a fan of dark dies on men as they always end up looking fake

        • I tend to agree. I also really like his native color. IMO he looked great in London in Jan.

          • I totally agree it felt so natural amd he was really perfect for Astrov And often natural colouring works best as i guess genes coordinate hair to skin to eyes 😊 but overall glad more people will get a chance to see his Astrov as ot was sad for so many missing out. Hope I’ll gave time to rewatch Stranger as i thought he looked fab in it. And really men need to start shaving again! His beard is always if the better ones but so over the shrubberies round here! Razors were never in short supply, come on. Ah yes also impressed with their dedication to shooting in these times as it’s really hard and a lot of effort and still risky as Batman shoot just proved. Thankful for the dedication

            • maybe there’s some issue with filming, too (Proctor’s makeup changed somewhat for the DT version, iirc). I’m glad they did capture a filmed version. I wonder how much Roger Allam will change things.

I’ve always liked him bearded. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
