Richard Armitage and the trouser break, brief postscript

This photo, which I had not seen before, showed up today on tumblr at photos-gr.

This is the last piece of evidence that I needed to finish my earlier ruminations on the trouser break in his clothing history and in this particular suit. Look at that beautiful crease down the front of the leg and how elegant this pant looks, the way it draws our eye all up and down that very long leg. Fantastic clothing choice.

  3. Yes, this is perfect all around.

  4. Wendy said exactly what I was going to say. “I couldn’t agree more.” He looks so elegant!

  5. Oh #@&$^@)%#()@# The Zegna…..!

  6. Everything about him in this photo is fantastic.

  7. Honestly: perfect from the head to the toe (äh shoe ) 🙂

    • It’s such a comfort compared to the shoe-picture yesterday!!!
      Sometimes he’s tooooo good looking.

  8. The stuff of enchantment

  9. This suit beats them all.

  10. Wow. The way he carries himself here! He stands out like a regal specimen among all the regular people around him. If there are human gods….

  11. Mr. Armitage always looks great in everything he wears, (except for that Louis Vuitton blue sweater, I hated that) and I know I’m going to be in the minority here, but I really don’t care for the slimmer cut suit. They just seem skimpy to me. I have always preferred the look of a true trouser break and a fuller cut suit. Just my personal preference. But then, I also preferred him with a little more meat on his bones, a la Guy.
