  2. Thanks servetus- what a treat for me to wake up to here in oz. I’ve had a good squee too! So in character, in this pic he looks like a man who could have teenage sons- but then we see him between takes and the boyishness is back. Amazing.

  10. Wow. This seems to me one of the most ‘au naturel’ character he’s played in a while: no elaborate or historical costume – no leather!-, no visible makeup, his own haircolor (or something that appears close to it). Very “chap-next-door” and therefore all the more arresting. It will be very strange to hear him talk with a (presumably) Midwestern American accent (even if he pulls off a good one).
Even Lucas North looked more other-worldly than this guy (the tattoos, the skinny frame in Spooks 7, the pale skin against the black hair). I wonder what his character’s (who will also be, I think Nathan Kress’ dad) name will be? (Since it has already been established that it’s not John). And what backstory will Richard have developed for this character?

    • I agree. He must be enjoying not being in makeup for hours on this one. I can’t help but admit that I’d probably die if he managed the US Midwest accent credibly, as it’s mine. Good point about Lucas North.
