More Richard III fan art!

***

The contributor this week is GizTheGunslinger. See her spectacular artistic stylings and read an interesting interview with her here. There’s also a neat, compact discussion of armor styles in response to this contribution here.

For an index of all of the past contributions to the fan art context, look here. I can’t imagine how a winner will be picked. I’m starting to worry!

What to get the man who insists he already has everything? Answer: more work for our beloved workaholic. Since watching his work gives us so much delicious fantasy fulfillment, we thought we’d turn the tables with a fantasy present: the job that he’s most repeatedly expressed interest in doing — a retelling of the Richard III story. Would you like to share the fantasy more actively? Sign the manifesto: Richard Armitage for Richard III!

It’s that time of year again: a point at which we think about the needs of others in the midst of gratitude for the gifts we have received. Here’s a link to Mr. Armitage’s recommended charities at JustGiving and a link to Act!onAid, a child sponsorship organization for which he recorded a voiceover in December 2010. In 2011, Mr. Armitage also participated in fundraising efforts for Christchurch Earthquake Appeal. You can also generate a donation by doing any amazon.co.uk or Book Depository shopping that you do for the holidays via RichardArmitageOnline.com, or amazon.com or amazon.co.uk shopping via RichardArmitageNet.com, as these fansites both donate earned commission to charities that Armitage has endorsed. Fans have also donated in honor of Armitage to Oxfam International.

  1. Oh, Servetus. I worry now, too. Do we need a winner? I can’t pick one or even am not able to cast a vote. How possibly should I decide for one? I love all contributions and each one is the best when I see it ;o)

Our sole winner, I think, is our King of Hearts: King Richard Armitage ;o)

Fortunately we do not need to make it a contest (and I hope you agree), as our fan-art event is pure fun ;o)

P.S.: The direct link to the participating blog posts is: http://richard-fan-art.rgcwp.com/ (Needs some further work for nicer picture galleries, but the link list already works fine.)

    • I don’t know that any of them actually sell them — you’d have to find the artists and contact them individually. Sorry not to be of more assistance.
