Catching up with King Richard

So, I’ve been a bit remiss on this, having been occupied with other things, but the King Richard Armitage fan art contest is proceeding apace. We have three entries so far:

1. A stormy Richard III from an artist who wishes to remain nameless. He really looks brooding — Richard III meets Mr. Rochester. What does the artist say? “It’s about Richard Armitage, not me.” Impressive.

2. A very inventive GIF by — who else — bccmee! She’s not all Porter all the time any more. This contribution was part of her October GIF month extravanganza. Bcc is on her way to turning us all into video media experts. I’ve learned a lot from her blog.

3. A scrapbooking / collage piece by Alfie — who’s interviewed as well here — another really fascinating Richard Armitage fan. I hadn’t seen any Richard Armitage collages or scrapbooks and this piece has me interested.

Please check out these links and give the artists a little love! And thanks to CDoart, whose pet project this is and who’s doing her own playing around with graphics software these days. If you haven’t signed the petition below, do so: it would be neat to make a round 500 participants soon!

What to get the man who insists he already has everything? Answer: more work for our beloved workaholic. Since watching his work gives us so much delicious fantasy fulfillment, we thought we’d turn the tables with a fantasy present: the job that he’s most repeatedly expressed interest in doing — a retelling of the Richard III story. Would you like to share the fantasy more actively? Sign the manifesto: Richard Armitage for Richard III!
