Legenda 18: Stuff worth reading
Can’t believe this will be the last Monday Classic FanstRAvaganza for the year — because next Monday F3 will be live! People are getting nervous, me too, but now that everything’s been planned we just have to sit back and watch it fall apart enjoy ourselves!
This week’s classic FanstRA comes from White Rose: Sincere and Simple Thoughts, and it treats one of my favorite parts of Richard Armitage: his beautiful NOSE PROFILE!
In other news: Antonia Romera suggested, and CDoart created, a Spanish language index page for F3 here. If you haven’t heard it, fedoralady made an audio / video PSA here. For regular updates on FanstRAvaganza 3, “like” the facebook page or follow @FanstRAvaganza on twitter! During the event, all updates will be indexed here.

[Legenda offers a brief, non-inclusive index of stuff I noticed and enjoyed since the last episode. It doesn’t usually include materials presented on the major fansites, which I love dearly, but which are linked in the sidebar. Because I always forget or just miss stuff, please add additional pieces of interest via link in the comments.]
- Linked at mesmered: on the team benefits of social media.
- By jazzbaby1: How long could Richard Armitage survive the zombie apocalypse? It’s actually about potential U.S. interview partners, but I wonder if he plays games like this and what he things when he does. Oh, and would someone please tell jazzbaby1 to stop the masquerade about not being an Armitage blogger. We all know the truth.
- Fantastic piece at Richard Armitage Fan Blog: Armitage + Seuss. Have you by chance been reading a lot of Dr. Seuss books lately, Nat?
- At Feminéma: Lengthy post on a favorite guilty pleasure: Practical Magic. Servetus loves this film because of Goran Visnjic, but as Didion tells us, there are plenty of other reasons.
- By jasrangoon: Beautifully thoughtful post on Sparkhouse by a first time viewer that touches on an important issue at the end re: fanfic.
- By IWantToBeAPinup: On the motion of John Thornton’s brows.
- Linked at Heirs of Durin: Hobbiton photos.
- A new Thorin + Tauriel fanfic from Saralee, who just can’t wait! Me either, though I’m pretty sure it’s not Tauriel I’m waiting for.
- Potentially my favorite WIP at the moment: Trudy’s Tattle updated “In Consequence.” Lots of UST!
- Violet at The Framework Blog has done another interview with Armitage about his role as Thorin.
- Send in your ideas for an Armitage lunch box to Phylly! A sweet post on accidental second-grade fandom. Do kids still have lunch boxes? (I didn’t, we ate hot lunch at school, but I’m familiar with the concept).
Servetus, you make it sound real, well it nearly was…

Well, you write it as if it’s real 🙂
Wait, you mean it’s not real?

Thanks for the mention. Armitage blogger, yeah…I’ll get right on that. Oh, wait, FanstRA is next week, isn’t it? I guess I should get right on that, huh?

it’s exploded. There are at least 4x as many blogs this year as there were last year this time, and that doesn’t include the tumblr blogs.

Thanks for mentioning my Thorin + Tauriel fanfic, Servetus!
It’s all about the romance.

I’m reserving judgment on Tauriel till I see the film. Now, if I could be in a fanfic with Thorin … 🙂

Wow! What a surprise today when I got home- thank you so much for featuring my post from last FanstRA about RA’s most gorgeous profile. A good thing we still have another weekend to go before…

There’s also a lovely story on Fanfiction.net: “A host of Low Truths”. Ros survives the blast and helps Lucas dealing with Vaughn and the John Bateman mystery. Very satisfying. Melancholy and funny at the same time.

Thanks for the mention. Was wondering why my blog statistic went through the roof 😉
As to FangstRA 3, can I just say how happy (and horribly evil) I am that it’s not just me having heart palpitations and worrying if everythig will turn out OK. So it is true- misery does love company 😉
Only joking, it WILL be great!

I figure if 75% of what’s planned actually happens (a realistic estimate) we will still be very happy.
